Leverage Hybrid Cloud for Digital Forensic Data
The growing volume and variety of evidence—from body camera footage to video surveillance —is presenting law enforcement organizations with major storage challenges. Evidence Bridge ensures evidence is successfully preserved for the long-term while guaranteeing data integrity and cost-effective storage.

What Can You Achieve with Evidence Bridge?
Cost-Effective Storage
Automatically offload large-scale forensic data to secure cloud storage. Easily access original files and free local resources for cost-effective storage expansion.
Long-term Retention
Transition evidence to durable cloud cold storage. Minimize media degradation risks and reduce the cost of physical storage while delivering decades of evidence preservation.
Legal Admissibility
Ensure a clear chain of custody and meet legal standards, guaranteeing evidence remains tamper-proof and admissible in court.

How It Works?
Law enforcement organizations use local premium virtual disk storage for high performance while policies work in the background to replicate and migrate infrequently accessed data to lower cost storage tiers and release valuable space.
- Evidence Bridge dynamically tracks locally stored data.
- Active files are kept locally and accessed at full speed and low latency.
- Inactive files are migrated to lower-cost tiers.
- Data is automatically retrieved on demand by users and applications.
- Tiny stub files are maintained and visible to applications and File Explorer.
Note: Evidence Bridge is designed for evidence files and assumes an average file size of 10 MB or larger. If your typical files average under 10 MB, we recommend Tiger Bridge by Tiger Technology, which is better suited for high volumes of smaller files.
Evidence Bridge at a Glance
For long-term storage, Evidence Bridge moves files from hot cloud tiers to cold storage. Files in the archive tier are replaced with “offline” stubs. These files are not immediately accessible but can be manually retrieved and rehydrated when necessary. This capability allows law enforcement agencies to save on costs while still preserving access to critical evidence.
Once files are replicated to the cloud, Evidence Bridge replaces local copies with “nearline” stubs. These stubs look like the original files but take up virtually no space. When a file is needed, it’s automatically retrieved from the cloud, reducing storage strain on local servers.
Protecting the integrity of evidence is critical for ensuring chain of custody and legal admissibility. Archived data can be secured with Compliance Mode, making it immutable—no changes or deletions are allowed until the retention period expires. In addition, checksum cryptographic signatures allow agencies to verify that files in the cloud are identical to the originals stored on premises.
Evidence Bridge AWS Deployment Guide
This guide will help you set up an Evidence Bridge data management system with Amazon storage services. It includes a setup guide and different use-case considerations. Evidence Bridge is fully integrated with NTFS/ReFS but can also manage volumes via SMB/NFS.
