Key Benefits of Storage Assessment
Insight into Access Patterns
Get unparalleled insights into how and when surveillance recordings are accessed. By understanding these access patterns, you can streamline your data retrieval processes, ensuring that crucial video data is always at your fingertips.
Informed Data Management Decisions
Make effective decisions regarding data management. With our storage assessment report, it becomes clear how long recordings should remain on local storage before being moved or reclaimed. This prevents unnecessary clutter and optimizes local storage resources.
Efficient Data Archiving
Ensure that older, less relevant recordings aren’t kept any longer than they should on premium storage.
By understanding how long the data should be retained in an immediate tier before archiving, you can reduce costs and boost retrieval times for more recent and relevant recordings.
Playback Access Insights
Get a clear picture of investigation patterns, showing when certain data points or video recordings are typically accessed. Such insights are invaluable for organizations that need to plan their investigations or audits.
Accurate Cloud Cost Estimations
Understand storage and retrieval patterns to get more precise estimates of your cloud storage costs. As businesses increasingly rely on cloud storage solutions, such a metric is crucial to budget effectively and avoid unexpected expenses in the future.
Why do you need storage assessment?
Our extensive 20+ years of experience have demonstrated that a considerable portion of organizations consistently utilize merely 2-5% of their complete data, often lacking awareness of the remaining data. This situation heightens the risk of losing the ability to ensure data security, perform efficient resource optimization, and sustain peak operational efficiency.

FAQs
How many drives per server does one (1) report cover at any given point in time?
One. You can generate report data for a single drive on your server at a time. To generate a report for another drive on the same server, you must do so sequentially, which overwrites previous data. To generate reports for drives on two or more servers, you need to place two or more orders.
Where do I view my Storage Assessment Report?
Your report can be viewed live within your Tiger Technology license server account. Make sure you remember your username & password.
How can I get a demo version of the Storage Assessment Report?
A sample report will appear in your license server account once you register and before you pay the invoice issued. Use the time frame controls to refine the sample data by year, month, week or day. Hover your mouse over any of the graphs to view additional information about the sample data.
What happens after the 30-day access period ends?
Storage Assessment Report orders are automatically deleted from your licensing server account once they expire, and you cannot renew them. If you want to use the service again, you must register for a new order.
Why do I see a sample report when I access my account?
A sample report will appear in your license server account once you register and before you pay the invoice issued. If you have provided payment but you still see the sample report, this means that your data has not been uploaded and processed yet. Your actual report(s) is generated once you provide payment and run the Data Collection tool on your machine(s).
What data does Tiger Surveillance have access to?
Tiger Surveillance’s Storage Assessment Report is a web-based service which uploads only basic metadata to our servers, namely file and folder names, creation and access dates. A separate cloud container is created for each customer, with customers being able to only access their data.
